The state of New York is starved for a good football team because the New York Giants and New York Jets have failed to see much postseason success in the past decade.
The Giants have a couple of Super Bowl wins under their belt after employing Eli Manning, though the Jets are looking to join them in the ring column now that Aaron Rodgers is back and healthy on the field.
The Giants could be on their way up after reinvesting in their offense this past offseason, though they did lose Darren Waller to a retirement.
Waller was considered a big addition to the team, though he failed to make the level of impact that some within the organization were hoping for.
While the 2024 NFL season is still about a month away, New York fans have at least been able to pass the time by watching the New York Yankees.
The Yankees are led by Aaron Judge and in a recent broadcast Manning joked that the slugger could play tight end in the NFL via YES Network.
“I see a great tight end right there,” Manning said.

Manning marvels at how big of a person Judge is and for good reason as the Yankees star stands at 6’7″ and is listed at 282 pounds.
Tight end is typically the default position that bigger athletes like Judge get assigned to in football, and his blend of size and strength suggests he could hold his own on the football field if he ever did decide to trade in his bat and glove for pads.
