Every year, there are debates in the NFL about which players are the elite of the elite in the league, which goes into the ranking of the top 100 players, which always causes a stir amongst the players who believe they were ranked too low.
It appears that superstar quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals is one of those players who wasn’t happy with where he landed in the top 100 rankings, as he came in at No. 39, a drastic change from last year’s ranking where he was No. 6.
Last season, Burrow went through somewhat of a nightmare scenario for a franchise quarterback with Super Bowl aspirations, as he dealt with a calf strain in training camp and then went down with a wrist injury that ended his season prematurely and required surgery to fix.
Ultimately, the Bengals missed the NFL playoffs last season, and many questions started to emerge about whether Burrow would ever be fully healthy enough to lead this team back to the Super Bowl and win that elusive Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Apparently, Burrow wasn’t happy about dropping from No. 6 to No. 39 in the rankings but knew it was because he wasn’t healthy last year via the Bengal’s YouTube channel.
Along with debuting a new Slim Shady-like look, Burrow seems determined to set things straight during the 2024 campaign, as he’ll be healthy and motivated to start the regular season next month.
Cincinnati will open their season playing host to the new-look New England Patriots on September 8.
