The Los Angeles Chargers are ushering in a new era this year with the team parting ways with head coach Brandon Staley late last season and striking gold during the NFL offseason by being able to hire Jim Harbaugh to be the successor as leader on the sideline moving forward.

Unfortunately for Los Angeles, the 2024 campaign and this new era with Harbaugh leading the way have gotten off to a rough start, with superstar quarterback Justin Herbert dealing with a foot injury that will keep him in a boot until the team gets the regular season started on September 8 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium.

With Herbert already on the mend, the offense will take a massive hit to start the season if he isn’t ready to get back to work under center come Week 1, which is about a month away.

As if dealing with Herbert’s injury during training camp wasn’t bad enough for the Chargers, the team is now dealing with an injury to one of the team’s best defensive players.

According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, star defensive end Joey Bosa got shaken up at practice on Sunday and is dealing with some hand/wrist injury.

Joey Bosa shaken up after rush in 11 on 11. Something with his left hand/wrist. Heading inside w trainers now. Bosa had been dominating practice.

Obviously, this isn’t a good sign for Bosa, who has struggled with injuries throughout his entire NFL career up to this point and may be on the mend once again.

This is not the ideal start for the Harbaugh era in Los Angeles, but Herbert and Bosa may still be ready to go for Week 1.
