Training camp in the NFL is always an exciting time because it signifies the start of the NFL season.

However, it is also intriguing because it sheds a light on lesser-known players.

While in a recent appearance on Up & Adams, Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow brought up two Bengals wide receivers who he thinks could have big seasons in 2024.

“Andrei (Iosivas) has had a great camp. Chuck (Charlie Jones) has had a great couple weeks…They’re gonna have big years for us,” Burrow stated.

In Cincinnati, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins run the show when it comes to the receiving room.

Chase has made three consecutive Pro Bowls, and Higgins recorded over 3,000 receiving yards across the first three seasons of his career before last season.

Players like Andrei Iosivas and Charlie Jones aren’t as well-known.

Starting with Iosivas, the former Princeton Tiger was drafted in the sixth round last season.

He played in 16 games and started just once, but he did record four touchdown catches.

Charlie Jones, a former All-American at Iowa, was a fourth-round pick back in 2023 and was mainly used as a return man as a rookie (23 punt returns, 248 yards, one touchdown).

He recorded just seven receptions for 64 yards on just nine targets last year.

Again, these players are lesser-known because they are young and haven’t been able to be the focal points through the passing game because of players like Chase and Higgins.

But with Burrow’s latest comments, it appears as though they could both have bigger roles in 2024.
