To some, being named to the NFL’s Top 100 List means a whole lot.

This is exactly the case with Chicago Bears Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who was not voted to the list this year.

During a recent press conference, Johnson let out some of his frustration about the situation.

“There ain’t no way. I don’t know how you make Pro Bowl, All-Pro, and you’re not a top-100 guy…Aaron Rodgers didn’t even play in the season and he was voted,” Johnson said.

“It’s bull****. There ain’t no way … Aaron Rodgers didn’t even play in the season and he was voted. … It’s disrespectful.”

The former second-round pick does make a good point.

If this list is based off of last season, why did he not make it?

After all, he set a career-high with four interceptions and recorded his second season with at least 10 pass deflections.

But also, it is fair to note that the players were the only ones who voted on the list, and they perhaps felt that despite Johnson making the Pro Bowl, that still wasn’t good enough.

Now, the point that the former Utah star made about Rodgers is fair but again, the players who voted believe Rodgers is still a top-100 player.

Also, the four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion has nearly two decades of excellence under his belt in the National Football League.

This isn’t like the players decided to vote in some random backup quarterback.

Rodgers is one of the greatest to ever play the game at his position, and the players might have been voting from that point of view.

For Johnson, he should have a massive chip on his shoulder heading into the season, which should excite Bears fans.
