Every now and then, a player shows up and takes the NBA by storm.

It’s not easy to stand out in this league, especially as a rookie, but sometimes, a unique player just mesmerizes everybody around him.

That was the case with Victor Wembanyama.

It didn’t take long before the San Antonio Spurs rookie proved to be the ultimate unicorn.

With that in mind, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins predicted he would win three rings by the time it’s all said and done.

Talking on ESPN, Perkins claimed that even though it won’t be easy for him because of how stacked with talent the league is nowadays, he still sees Wembanyama dominating en route to at least three rings (via ClutchPoints).

“I believe [Victor Wembanyama] will win three championships when it’s all said and done. It’s not gonna be easy though, right? He’s still gonna share the league with Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, Ja Morant, and these young bulls.”

However, it’s not all positive.

Perkins did address the durability concerns that come with being such a large human being.

He recalled that most of the players with similar heights and builds haven’t had long careers in the league more often than not, so that’s the only question he might have about him.

Contrary to what most people thought, the Spurs didn’t always play it safely with their prized rookie, and he played most of the season.

There are several young stars in the league that are most definitely worth watching.

Still, of them all, we might all agree that no one is as unique as Victor Wembanyama, and his ability to dominate on defense is already one of the most impressive we’ve seen in the history of this league.
