After trading for Jerry Jeudy, most people would assume the Cleveland Browns wouldn’t try to get another big-name wide receiver in the offseason.
That seemed even less likely after they agreed to restructure Amari Cooper’s contract.
However, with all the rumors and speculation around Brandon Aiyuk and his future, it seems like the Browns are gaining momentum regarding a potential transaction.
Notably, even Jeudy would welcome him with open arms (via Coop).

When asked about that, the new Browns star wide receiver didn’t flinch or think about his own numbers or targets.
Instead, he called his colleague a great player and acknowledged that it would be great to achieve their actual goal, which is to win football games.
The Niners haven’t been able to work out a deal with Aiyuk, and it doesn’t seem like he’s particularly open to negotiating at this point.
He seems to feel disrespected and undervalued, and he’s not going to rest until he gets his wish of being traded.
That could lead to a very awkward and uncomfortable dynamic in the Bay area.
The Browns haven’t had a first-round pick in quite a while because of the Deshaun Watson trade, so it seems kind of unlikely that they will agree to give away another one to get another player, even if that player is Aiyuk.
But if they truly believe that they can work something out and make a run at one of the best route runners in the game, they should definitely consider it.
