The Carolina Panthers haven’t been able to get a full glimpse of their new star wide receiver.
Former South Carolina Gamecock Xavier Legette has had some tough luck to start his professional career.
First, he missed some of the OTAs with an injury.
Now, he’s also on the sidelines after leaving practice with another ailment.
And while it doesn’t sound too serious, HC Dave Canales has already ruled him out for Thursday’s pre-season game (via Sheena Quick).

The Panthers took the SC stud in the first round of this year’s draft, hoping he’d become Bryce Young’s primary weapon for years to come.
He’s currently dealing with a lower leg injury.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that X-rays came back negative, adding that this injury was not related to the hamstring injury he suffered earlier in the offseason.
Injuries aside, the first-year pro has reportedly been quite impressive during training camp.
The Panthers aren’t expected to compete at the highest level next season, so it only makes sense that they err on the side of caution with their young stars.
Still, the fans will want to see some signs of improvement from Bryce Young, and Legette will be instrumental in that.
