With the Baltimore Ravens having Super Bowl aspirations heading into the 2024 NFL season, head coach John Harbaugh wants everything to go smoothly throughout training camp and limit potential injuries as much as he can, especially when it comes to his best players.

The most important thing for the Ravens moving forward is making sure that superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson will be good to go for the start of the season, and when Week 1 does get underway against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on September 5, the team has the best protection in front of the reigning NFL MVP.

One key piece to keeping Jackson healthy and productive on the football field is center Tyler Linderbaum, who is coming off his first Pro Bowl season with the Ravens.

Unfortunately, according to Harbaugh via the team’s Twitter account, Linderbaum got a little banged up in practice and is being held out as a precaution.

“Tyler is out right now,” Harbaugh said. “They’re kind of evaluating him. He had some discomfort, and we’re going to hold him out. We’re going to be very cautious with Tyler, obviously.”

The Ravens will definitely prioritize the health of Linderbaum, with the team looking out for not only Jackson’s welfare but also that of veteran newcomer Derrick Henry, who will be coming out of the backfield during the 2024 campaign.

Obviously, Harbaugh didn’t go into great detail about Linderbaum’s status, but it doesn’t seem to be a significant problem right now.
