The NFL season is slated to begin in less than a month.
With that in mind, many of the top analysts around the league are putting their picks together for division winners, playoff contenders, and of course, Super Bowl winners.
This is the time of year when “hot” takes tend to come out, and when people try to make a name for themselves in the industry by planting their flag on particular viewpoints.
Several fans and analysts are excited about what the Cincinnati Bengals can and will do in 2024, hoping they can do enough to knock off the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.
While that is a commonly held belief, not everyone has the same mindset.
Chris Broussard pushed back on this take, much to the surprise of his “First Things First” counterparts.
“They’re not going to be my pick in the AFC, they’re not going to be my pick in the AFC North,” Broussard said.

He added, “I think they’re going to be good if Burrow’s good, if Burrow’s healthy.”
Broussard believes that the Bengals can make it to the playoffs again this year, assuming Burrow plays for the whole year.
However, he isn’t sold on the Bengals being a shoo-in for the AFC title, especially since he believes the Baltimore Ravens are better than them.
It will be interesting to see how the year plays out and to examine which analysts end up being the most correct when all is said and done.
