It didn’t take long before New York Giants legend Phil Simms found himself a new home.

He was let go by CBS a couple of months ago after more than two decades with the company.

Now, the former quarterback will join a different network to continue his career as an analyst.

As announced by the Giants on Twitter, he’ll be in the broadcast booth with Carl Banks and Bob Papa on FOX 5 NY.

He’ll join them just in time for their two preseason games, as the Giants will square off vs. the Detroit Lions on Thursday and then vs. the Houston Texans in the following week.

Simms was a Giant for 14 years between 1979 and 1993..

Simms’ broadcasting career started in 1995 as a member of ESPN before making a big jump to NBC.

This will be a complicated campaign for the Giants, who have improved significantly on defense but still face big questions on offense, even after adding a potential superstar like Malik Nabers.

They’re fresh off a disappointing season with a 6-11 record, just one year after winning a playoff game on the road.

This season will be crucial to determine whether Daniel Jones should remain with the team going forward, and the same might go for GM Joe Schoen if things go south.
