The Washington Commanders are a bit of a question mark ahead of the upcoming season.
That’s what happens whenever a new regime takes the reins, and they will have a new head coach, a new coaching staff, and a new quarterback.
On paper, they have more than enough talent on offense to make some noise.
Guys like Terry McLaurin, Austin Ekeler, Jahan Dotson and Zach Ertz make up for a more than interesting core of weapons.
The question mark will be whether Jayden Daniels is ready to take the field right away or not.
However, that doesn’t seem to be much of a question to Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury, as they’ve already listed their prized rookie as QB1 in their first unofficial depth chart of the season (via Adam Schefter).

The No. 2 pick will look to replicate what C.J. Stroud did last season and take the league by storm right out of the gate, and he certainly has the talent to do so.
A dual-threat gunslinger with a great feel for the game, Daniels was perhaps the most spectacular quarterback in all of college football last season, drawing comparisons to Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson.
Daniels dominated at LSU and was considered to be the second-best prospect overall in this class, but it’s not like he was that far behind Caleb Williams, and he would’ve gone No. 1 in almost every other class.
Rookie QBs go through growing pains and a learning curve, but if he’s, in fact, ready, this team could make plenty of noise.
