The New York Giants got a true stud in the NFL Draft.

Malik Nabers looked like a stud in college, and judging by his footage in training camp, he’s going to give NFL defenders a lot of trouble.

The LSU product has gone viral multiple times for his highlight-reel-worthy catches and how he’s put defenders on skates, particularly during the joint practices with the Detroit Lions.

However, as what usually happens with joint practices, things escalated pretty quickly.

As pointed out by Ari Meirov on Twitter (via Charlotte Carroll), the rookie wide receiver threw some punches at Kerby Joseph, and yet another scuffle broke out.

Oh boy. Malik Nabers and Kerby Joseph just exchanged some punches and we have a big scuffle.

Per multiple reports, there were as many as eight incidents and heated altercations between these two teams on Monday.

Lions HC Dan Campbell was quite critical of joint practices, stating that it was a waste of everybody’s time when they had to restart drills over and over because of all the fighting.

The Lions and Giants will meet to open the preseason on Thursday, and they’re just another example of why joint practices might not be the best idea.

Year after year, we see fights and scuffles between opposing teams, and it’s not like one would have to be a psychic to know this was going to happen.

Hopefully, the league will put an end to this at some point, as there’s simply no point in risking injury during training camp; the game is risky as it is already.
