For years, the Los Angeles Rams haven’t particularly brought a lot of fans to the seats.
The team moved from St. Louis back to California in an attempt to rebrand and try to fetch a bigger fan base.
Needless to say, that hasn’t particularly been the case thus far.
That’s why, now that he’s gotten an opportunity to play for a different team, Jared Goff can make comparisons.
With that in mind, he didn’t hesitate to talk about how different things were now that he has the Detroit Lions fan base rooting for him (Via Bussin’ With The Boys).

Goff claimed that people in Michigan live and breathe football, whereas people in California have plenty of things to do, from other sports to going to the beach, to even going to dinner.
He stated that the Lions have the whole state rooting for them, whereas California has other teams to root for.
Of course, that could be seen as a jab at his former fan base — which didn’t always have his back — but it’s just a fact.
The Rams aren’t the most popular football team in California, and we’re not even talking about professional football, as you’d see more fans at USC or even UCLA games than at Rams games.
That doesn’t mean it’ll be that way forever, and the Rams have done a solid job of staying competitive since moving back to California.
But for now, they have a lot of catching up to do, at least with the Lions.
