The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the past several seasons.
They, of course, made it to the Super Bowl two years ago, and they’ve been a consistent powerhouse in the NFC during the Jalen Hurts era.
Hurts wasn’t necessarily highly touted when he took over center, but it wasn’t long before he gained the trust of his teammates, and, more importantly, the trust of the Philadelphia faithful.
Philadelphia sports fans are some of the most intense in sports, but if they cling to a particular player, it bodes well for them and their career in the city.
With the Eagles being consistently good, free agents tend to want to join them, hoping to help them take a step further in their success.
Devin White is a recent example of a player wanting to switch teams to jump on the Eagles bandwagon.
He took a pay cut to be there, which is recently explained in “The Pivot” podcast, shared by Dov Kleiman on Twitter.
White preferred taking less to play with the Eagles, saying, “Rather taking such and such with another team that don’t have the pieces around to even allow me to become even better.”

White comes to the Eagles from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He did win a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers when Tom Brady was with the team, but now that Brady is gone, their championship window isn’t as wide.
Perhaps he can find more success with the Eagles, a team that needed a key veteran on defense.
