The NFL season is officially less than a month away.
For the better part of the next 30 days, the industry’s top analysts will try to put together their picks for the upcoming season, hoping they are the most accurate when all is said and done.
Analysts tend to put out player-specific rankings, as well as how they believe each team will finish, and of course, who they believe will win the Super Bowl.
A conversation about the top five players recently broke out during a segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, where Joy Taylor and LeSean McCoy each laid out their five best quarterbacks in the league.
Their lists were similar, having Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow as their first four players listed.
The only difference, as Joy highlighted, is that Jared Goff was her pick for No. 5, while McCoy’s was Matthew Stafford.

Both Stafford and Goff have demonstrated that they have what it takes to win at a high level, more so than any other quarterback on the list not named Patrick Mahomes.
As fans are well aware, Goff went to the Detroit Lions in the Stafford deal, and while this was seen as an initial win for the Los Angeles Rams, it’s also a win for the Lions, as Goff has found a home in a new city and team.
Analysts seem torn about where to rank these two players heading into 2024, so fans will have to wait and see how it all shakes out.
