Team USA and its myriad of NBA talent keep marching strong in the Olympics.

They’re just two wins away from the gold medal.

That’s not much of a surprise, considering how dominant they’ve been and how stacked their roster is.

However, despite their plethora of talent, Kevin Durant’s Olympic record, or Anthony Edwards’ offensive outbursts, LeBron James has been their most consistent player.

That’s why ESPN insider Brian Windhorst believes he could finally get the one trophy he hasn’t won yet.

Talking on Get Up, Windhorst made a case for LeBron to win Olympics MVP.

Windhorst recalled some of the many accolades and individual trophies James has won throughout the course of his remarkable career, and that the Olympics MVP distinction is still missing from his trophy cabinet.

James’ averages haven’t been as impressive, as he’s put up just 13.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game.

Still, he’s second in assists per game and has piled up 30 dimes through four games, and he played a virtually flawless game vs. Brazil.

At the end of the day, the MVP usually goes to the leading scorer.

But with James’ résumé and huge following, it seems like he wouldn’t need to put up big scoring numbers to take home this distinction.

For that to happen, however, the Americans still need to win their next two games.
