The Kansas City Chiefs will be taking the playing field for the first time since their Super Bowl win last February when they face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday in their first preseason game.
Head coach Andy Reid recently announced in front of the Kansas City media his plans for the quarterback position for the game.
According to insider Pete Sweeney, Reid is going to start MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter.
Then, backup Carson Wentz will take over in the second quarter.
Other backups Chris Oladokun and Ian Book will receive playing time too.

Depending on how fans are looking at it, Mahomes starting in the first preseason game should be very intriguing.
Again, this is his first live game action since the Super Bowl over six months ago.
Look for Reid to give his quarterback some easy throws and low-pressure plays because the game isn’t as significant for a player of Mahomes’s caliber.
It’s all about getting him back into rhythm and making the right plays, but it is up to Reid to keep him healthy and not put him in harm’s way.
Seeing a veteran quarterback like Wentz could be fascinating as he was once a really good quarterback earlier in his career.
Another question surrounding Reid is whether or not he will go with three or four total quarterbacks on the final roster.
Perhaps Ian Book and Chris Oladokun will be battling for that other backup quarterback role and/or a practice squad spot.
There are plenty of intriguing questions that are surrounding the Super Bowl champs as they start their quest for a three-peat.
