Coming into the 2024 NFL season, the league has gotten better at both the quarterback and wide receiver positions, with an influx of very talented young players coming in from the college level.
Although the quarterbacks stole most of the headlines, with an NFL record six QBs taken in the first round of April’s draft, the wide receiver position was also stacked with talent from top to bottom, starting with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers.
With a talented crop of rookie receivers that includes Rome Odunze and Xavier Worthy, there could be some game-changing players who will make an impact right away and help their teams move in the right direction.
Nick Wright of FOX Sports said he believes the best of the wide receivers that were taken in the draft is Harrison, who at No. 4 overall was the first receiver off the board on draft night, going to the struggling Arizona Cardinals.
“To me, it is very, very obvious that it is Marvin Harrison Jr.,” Wright said on his podcast. “I thought he was the best college wide receiver we’ve had arguably since Larry Fitzgerald.”

There’s a reason Harrison was the first of many receivers taken early in the draft, as the Ohio State product does seem to be the most talented and most NFL-ready wideout of the group.
It’ll be interesting to see if Harrison and quarterback Kyler Murray can get on the same page, and whether that combo can become one of the best in the NFL.
