The Minnesota Timberwolves found a true superstar.
They hoped to get one with Andrew Wiggins, and they thought they had one with Karl-Anthony Towns.
Now, Anthony Edwards has shown them what a true leader and a true superstar looks like.
Edwards has become one of the marquee names in the league already.
Besides his incredible God-given talents and athleticism, he’s worked tirelessly on his game, getting better as the years go by.
However, that’s not much of a coincidence.
According to his former teammate Taurean Prince, of all of his many talents as a basketball player, the most important one is that he’s actually coachable.
Talking to Theo Pinson for Tidal League’s ‘Run Your Race,’ the former Timberwolves forward revealed that Edwards is just so eager to learn, be coached, and keep adding more and more things to his game (via ClutchPoints).
Taurean Prince: “[Anthony Edwards’] best talent is he’s coachable. So once I saw that in him… it’s a different ball game when somebody that talented listens…”
Theo Pinson: “The crazy part is: His confidence bro is scary… He truly thinks he’s the best player in the world.”… pic.twitter.com/pVVPfRCb9s

That’s not a usual thing to see from young stars, particularly for one as confident in his game as Edwards is.
Prince confirmed that Edwards truly believes that he’s the best player in the world, and if he keeps putting in this kind of work, it won’t be long before he actually is.
Even other stars of the game, such as Kevin Durant or even LeBron James have seemed to embrace this sort of passing of the torch.
Edwards’ development will be fun to watch and, barring injury, he’s going to have a Hall of Fame kind of career for sure.
