The Minnesota Vikings may have lost their quarterback in the offseason, but they still have a very good team.
Kevin O’Connell’s reputation as an offensive guru precedes him, and the Vikings have put together a very decent set of offensive talent.
That’s why former NFL player Harry Douglas believes their offense will once again be very quarterback-centric.
Talking to Freddie Coleman on their Freddie and Harry show, Douglas pointed out the fact that Sam Darnold and/on J.J. McCarthy will both have plenty of weapons at their disposal, including — obviously — the best wide receiver in the game in Justin Jefferson.

He claimed that they have a great offensive line and that Aaron Jones was obviously a huge pickup for them.
And what could work in McCarthy’s favor is the fact that he would get to throw the football to three playmakers like Jefferson, Jordan Addison, or TJ Hockenson, and that would obviously make his life quite easier.
With that in mind, Douglas claimed that it wouldn’t surprise him to see McCarthy taking the field at some point if O’Connell didn’t think his team had progressed enough with Darnold behind center.
Truth be told, the reports about McCarthy haven’t been as encouraging as the fans originally thought and hoped, but they could definitely do a lot worse than having Sam Darnold out there.
Whatever the case, there’s no reason to sleep on this team as much as some analysts have done, and they could certainly make a big splash and surprise a lot of people.
