The Cleveland Browns are coming off a promising season, but they now have to deliver.
Just making the playoffs isn’t good enough, especially not after all the moves they’ve made and everything they’ve given up to get to the mountaintop.
That’s why Deshaun Watson will be under the most pressure he’s ever been next season.
It’s been three years since he arrived there, and he has yet to pay them back, either because of injuries, subpar play, or his well-documented suspension.
With that in mind, fellow QB Jameis Winston went to his defense.
Talking to the media, he remembered Watson’s collegiate career and journey to this point, stating that he’s one of the most resilient players in all of football (Via Scott Petrak).

For that matter, the former No. 1 pick fully believes that Watson will not only bounce back but also win a Super Bowl.
That’s certainly what the Browns hope.
They had to give up a lot to get him, not to mention all the backlash and criticism they got for making a run at him despite knowing all the allegations against him.
That has also made a lot of people root for his failure, and it’s not an easy burden to carry for anybody.
This has the makings of a make-or-break season for Watson with the Browns.
And with a new offensive coordinator and an improved offense, the fans might also run out of patience or excuses for their once-great quarterback if he underperforms again this season.
