The Dallas Cowboys entered the offseason with a few pressing questions to answer.
Fans were calling for the end of Mike McCarthy’s reign as head coach, but he appears to be a part of their plans for at least one more season.
There was also a discussion about Dak Prescott’s future with the team, seeing how the Cowboys hadn’t re-signed him to a long-term extension.
While Prescott’s contract was a major talking point due to his position, several other players, including CeeDee Lamb, are waiting their turn as well.
Lamb is still on his rookie deal, and considering how well he has played to this point, fans believe he deserves a massive raise.
The Cowboys might feel the same way, but they haven’t made any strides in conversations surrounding this topic.
In fact, according to reporter Jon Machota, when talking about Lamb’s contract, Jerry Jones said,”I don’t have any urgency to get it done.”

This is a surprising take from the long-time owner of the team considering Lamb’s status and recognition from his peers.
He might not get paid as much as Justin Jefferson recently did, but he could conceivably get close due to the value he brings to the team.
With Jones being unwilling to hone in on this extension, the star WR could grow tired of the organization, and could perhaps seek a new club in the near future, one that would pay him what he believes he’s worth.
It will be interesting to monitor this situation leading up to the season, and to see what Jones’ next plan of attack is.
