The Atlanta Falcons are entering a new era in 2024.

After hiring former defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to be the new head coach, the team signed four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal worth $180 million earlier this offseason too.

While the franchise has its head coach and quarterback situations figured out, analyst Greg Cosell believes Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Pitts is now the team’s biggest question.

“The big question in Atlanta is Kyle Pitts because he really hasn’t become what everybody, including myself, thought he could be in the league. Now with a new coaching staff, different offense, we’ll see…He really does have wide receiver skills and movement,” Cosell recently said on the Ross Tucker Podcast.

Pitts is one of the best all-around athletes that the NFL has at the moment.

Still just 23 years of age and entering his fourth season, the former Florida Gator stands at 6-6 and weighs close to 245 pounds.

His 4.4 speed and long wingspan are what separates him from a lot of other wide receivers and tight ends.

After recording over 1,000 yards and being voted to the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2021, he recorded just 328 receiving yards in 2022 and had 667 receiving yards last season.

With Cousins now in the fold, Pitts has a great chance to get back on track.

Perhaps he can be featured in the red zone more often too considering he only has six career touchdowns in three years.

With Cousins’ experience playing with other Pro Bowl tight ends throughout his career such as Jordan Reed in Washington and Kyle Rudolph in Minnesota, he has a great opportunity to help bring Pitts along in his fourth year.
