The race for MVP of the men’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics has been hotly contested for some time.
However, with Team USA moving on to face France in the gold-medal game, the leaderboard for who could win the award has dwindled.
According to the latest votes from certain FIBA experts, LeBron James appears to be the favorite.
James got four votes from the six-person panel, with center Nikola Jokic of Serbia and forward Isaia Cordinier of France each netting one.

After watching James lead Team USA to this point, this is not at all a surprise.
In his latest performance, he recorded a triple-double to help Team USA climb back from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Serbia in the semifinals.
In this tournament, the 39-year-old has proven that he might still be the best player in the world.
The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has shot better than 67 percent from the field and is averaging 14.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game.
He is the ultimate competitor, and it is showing on the world’s biggest stage.
There is a reason he was chosen as one of the flag-bearers for the United States at the opening ceremonies.
The four-time NBA MVP and three-time Olympic medalist is on a quest for his third gold medal.
If he can guide Team USA past the host nation in the final game, his first Olympic MVP could be the cherry on top of an iconic international career.
