Football is probably the one professional sport that showcases some of the fastest athletes in the world, as players at the wide receiver position tend to make a name for themselves due to their ability to create separation and outrun the defense when they get the ball in their hands.
With the 2024 Paris Olympics showing how fast athletes around the world can be in track and field events, some have wondered whether some of the quickest players in the NFL could hold their own against those athletes.
Many players who play wide receiver and running back in the NFL also participated in track and field during high school or college, when they displayed their lightning-quick speed.
The NFLPA X account recently posed a question to its followers that sparked many interesting responses from fans of the league and its players.

Although quite a few names are mentioned, only a handful are repeatedly mentioned, like Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill and Kansas City Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy.
Throughout his career in the NFL, Hill has put on a show on a weekly basis as he continues torching opposing defenses. He’s coming off his best season yet in the league, putting him in the conversation for the best player at his position.
Many would argue that Hill is the fastest player in the NFL today, but Worthy could challenge that, as he broke the NFL Scouting Combine record for the 40-yard dash and has already built some chemistry with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.
