Serbia wasn’t able to win a gold medal in Olympic men’s basketball but they did walk away with the bronze medal.
On Saturday morning, they took down Germany, thanks partly to the amazing work of Nikola Jokic.
According to Bennett Durando, Jokic scored 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists during the victory.
That means he joins Sasha Belov, Luka Doncic, and LeBron James as the only players to record triple-doubles in Olympic men’s basketball history.
In the end, Serbia walked away with a 93-83 win over Germany.
Nikola Jokic goes for 19-12-11 in the bronze medal game to lead Serbia past Germany, 93-83, winning his second Olympic medal (silver in Rio). He joins Sasha Belov, Luka Doncic and LeBron James (x2) as the only players to record triple-doubles in Olympic men’s basketball history.

It might not be the results they wanted but Serbia should still be very proud.
They have shown the world, again, that they are a team that should never be counted out.
The engine at the source of their success is Jokic, the six-time All-Star and three-time MVP.
He is clearly one of the best players in the world and it doesn’t matter if he’s playing against the greatest NBA rivals, he will still put on a great show.
Saturday’s game was a rematch of last year’s FIBA World Cup final, which Germany won.
In that sense, this was a bit of a revenge match.
Just a few days ago, Serbia came incredibly close to upsetting Team USA, which would have put them on track to play against France for the gold medal.
Instead, they are going home with the bronze medal, which is still a huge accomplishment, especially considering the competition at this year’s Olympics.
Jokic didn’t earn a gold medal this year, but he did secure a spot in Olympic history.
