University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has never shied away from controversy even dating back to his playing days, and even though his Buffaloes only went 4-8 last season, that doesn’t mean he’s going to tone it down.

One analyst ripped him after a recent press conference where a relaxed Sanders got combative with a reporter.

Analyst Jason Whitlock shared his thoughts on Sanders’ recent press conference after watching all 24 minutes of it and his takeaways were that Sanders had, “No command of the English language. Wearing sunglasses. Snorting through his nose every 45 seconds. Combative and defensive for no reason. It’s like Bubbles is coaching a Power 5 team.”

There is a lot to unpack here.

Sanders has spoken the same way since fans were introduced to him in the late 1980s, and he has always been combative while also showing plenty of examples of how thoughtful and humble he is.

Sanders knows this team left a lot of meat on the bone last season and has a lot of work to do to improve upon last year’s 4-8 disappointment after starting the season 3-0.

His Buffaloes have a pair of Heisman Trophy candidates in quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, and it’s set up to be a fun season in Boulder.
