The Philadelphia Eagles keep adding bodies to their defense.
This time, they’ve signed a familiar face for new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
According to a report by NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Eagles have signed safety Caden Sterns, who was recently released by the Denver Broncos.

Notably, this will be his third team in less than a week.
He was released by the Carolina Panthers after he was unable to pass the team physical, and he was then signed by the Broncos.
Even so, it didn’t take long before they also parted ways with him.
Now, he’ll join an Eagles team that’s also been linked with another former Broncos defender, Justin Simmons.
Stern did pass the Broncos’ physical, so the Eagles must be confident about his health.
With this being a one-year deal and him being familiar with Fangio’s scheme, this was a low-risk/high-reward pickup for Howie Roseman’s team.
Since entering the league as a fifth-round pick back out of Texas in 2021, Sterns has made 21 appearances (5 starts).
He finished his career at Mile High with 49 tackles, four picks, nine passes defensed, two quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, and two sacks.
