LeBron James is undeniably one of the greatest players in NBA history, and as such, he’s earned the right to get special treatment.

However, it’s often reached a point where narrative-based voting has just become unfair.

As good as he was during the Olympics, one could make a case for at least two different players to be the actual MVP, and one of them happened to play with him.

At least, that’s how sports analyst Lance Medow feels.

Talking on Mad Dog Radio, he claimed that Stephen Curry was the rightful MVP, and he might be right.

“Steph Curry is the one that sealed the deal.”@LanceMedow takes issue with LeBron James earning MVP honors after Curry’s heroic performance in Paris.

He stated that it was more important to show up when it actually mattered than during the group stage, and that’s what Curry did.

The Golden State Warriors star hit 17 three-pointers in this final two games, totaling 60 points.

He put up 36 points in a four-point win over Serbia, and he chipped in with 24 more points in the final.

Take away a couple of those buckets, and Team USA would’ve lost those games.

This has often been the case with Stephen Curry.

For whatever reason, he just doesn’t get the credit and recognition he so clearly deserves.

He was Team USA’s most clutch player, putting both of the two last games out of reach with his insane shot-making abilities.

Once Curry stopped sharing the ball and being passive, he proved why he is the greatest shooter ever.

And while James may have been the most consistent player in the league, he may not have been the most valuable.
