The Detroit Lions have gone from the laughingstock of the NFL to one of its best teams in just the past few seasons.

Under the regime of general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions are a team that prides itself on its toughness, physicality and grit on the field, and the players on the roster all reflect those qualities.

The team is led by Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown, two players who have a chip on their shoulder for various reasons while the defense has a rising superstar in Aidan Hutchinson who is playing for the team he grew up rooting for.

Overall, it’s hard to root against such a likable organization and Detroit is certainly looking to take the next step during the 2024 NFL season.

As is the case around the league, the Lions are always looking to improve on the margins and recently announced a few moves via the team’s official Twitter account.

Abraham Beauplan is a former undrafted free agent who spent the 2023 NFL season on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad and will look to land in the same spot in Detroit.

Meanwhile, Jamarco Jones is a former fifth-round pick who has played for the Seattle Seahawks and most recently played for the Tennessee Titans back in 2022.

Both players are depth and insurance pieces that likely won’t make the 53-man roster but are still solid signings given the circumstances.
