The Denver Broncos’ quarterback room will look vastly different during the 2024 NFL season as Russell Wilson is no longer on the roster after a couple of rough seasons with the franchise.

Wilson was considered the answer to the Broncos’ quarterback woes, but he wound up doing more harm than good during his stint.

To rectify their error, Denver decided to take a chance on Bo Nix in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Nix didn’t get the same level of hype that his fellow quarterback prospects Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye did despite a strong final collegiate season at Oregon and NFL Draft Combine.

While Nix might not have the strongest throwing arm or be the most athletic player at his position, he’s got a knack for reading defenses and delivering accurate throws on time.

Nix made his preseason debut for Denver against the Indianapolis Colts and his performance had fans buzzing via NFL.

Nix showed good understanding and command of the offense and did just enough to keep them on schedule throughout the day.

His lone touchdown came midway through the second quarter where he hit Marvin Mims for a short pass.

While preseason games must always be taken with a grain of salt, Nix’s debut went about as well as one could hope for.

With the Broncos looking for their long-term answer at quarterback, Nix should have every opportunity to earn the starting job once the 2024 season rolls around.
