The Los Angeles Lakers may not have done much to improve its roster this offseason, but the team has to feel good about what it saw from its superstars in the 2024 Olympics.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis had strong Olympic runs for USA Basketball and both of them came up big in the gold medal game against France.
James recorded a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists, while Davis pulled down 10 rebounds and recorded four blocks.
James was named the 2024 Olympics MVP and it was well-deserved as he was instrumental in all their wins during pool play and the medal rounds.
Team USA head coach Steve Kerr spoke highly of James throughout their time together and couldn’t help but give him more praise following their gold medal win via BronGotGame.
“What a blessing to coach him finally after all these years —- then of course just how gifted he is at everything, every part of the game he seems to have mastered… I’m a LeBron fan for life,” Kerr said.

Kerr and James have a long history of competing against each other over the past decade, so it was great to see the two finally get an opportunity to work together.
When the games got tense, Kerr went to James who delivered each and every time.
While Kerr and James will go back to facing off against each other during the 2024-25 NBA season, it was a special time for them to help bring back the gold to the United States in what ended up being a very competitive tournament.
