The 2024 NFL Draft was one for the record books.
Not only did several marquee players get selected, but it was a historic year for quarterbacks.
There were six quarterbacks taken within the first 12 picks, which set a record.
This draft was an indication that teams will do anything possible to get better at the position, even if it means risking an early first-round pick on an unproven rookie.
With any luck, all six of these players will find homes in the league and have long, illustrious careers.
After watching some preseason games, Robert Griffin III was excited about one of these rookie QBs in particular: Bo Nix.
Nix was a debated prospect coming into the league, but the Denver Broncos believed in the talent, which is why they took him so early.
Griffin seemingly loved Nix’s play in college, and, when watching his first preseason game, hyped up his “quick release,” as he mentioned on Twitter.
Bo Nix was the most efficient QB in his draft class because of his ability to process complex schemes with ease and the QUICK RELEASE you see on this TD throw. He showed that going 15/21 for 125 yards with 4 scoring drives in his preseason debut and his creativity too.

Griffin also sees a lot of efficiency in Nix’s game, a trait usually associated with successful NFL quarterbacks.
Nix hasn’t necessarily been named the starter in Denver, but if his performance in the preseason is an indication, he could be well on his way to earning the job.
The Broncos have tried several quarterback options since Peyton Manning left, but for whatever reason, they haven’t found someone to take over the reins consistently.
Can Nix finally provide that consistency for them, a spark plug in this offense looking to take the next step?
