The Green Bay Packers roster isn’t particularly stacked with prominent names.

At least, that was the case last season.

Now, some of the not-so-known players they deployed have made a name for themselves, but it’s not like they were highly-touted recruits for the most part.

Even so, there’s always somewhat of a pecking order.

As of now, the Packers have Christian Watson as their WR1, followed by Romeo Doubs.

However, if you were to ask HC Matt LaFleur, that just doesn’t make any sense.

Talking to the media, the Packers coach claimed that the term WR1 is something that makes him want to vomit (via The Coachspeak Index).

#Packers HC Matt LaFleur on the pecking order of his WR room:

“I want to vomit every time I hear ‘No. 1 receiver,’ to be honest with you. It drives me crazy. That’s something that you guys talk about, I feel like we’ve got a bunch of them. I think the beauty of them is they’re… pic.twitter.com/nwsl2IQT6V

He believes that’s something the media talks about, not the team, and that he believes that all of their wide receivers can do a lot of things, which is something that allows them to be very versatile on offense.

Notably, the Packers finally gave us a true glimpse of LaFleur’s offense last season.

Aaron Rodgers had a green light to make so many adjustments, and LaFleur often tailored his schemes to him, as he should have.

But now that he’s no longer on the premises, the young coach was pretty much in control of every aspect, and the early returns were more than promising.

The Packers are clearly ahead of schedule.

They won’t be a surprise anymore.

And while they might not have as many big-name wideouts as other teams, everybody will put their heads down and get to work.
