Few people get to live out their childhood dreams but when it does happen, it is something truly magical.

Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves knows that because he just fulfilled his biggest basketball dream.

A video shared by Hated on X features Edwards saying that the “only thing” he was looking forward to doing at the Olympics was playing with his idol Kevin Durant.

Edwards said that Durant is his favorite player of all time and he was elated to get the chance to perform alongside him.

Not only did Edwards play with Durant, but he played well and helped Team USA win a gold medal.

Edwards is 23 years old and has been watching Durant play basketball since he was young.

Durant had a huge impact on Edwards, informing his game and inspiring him to play.

Now, all these years later, Edwards isn’t just a huge force in the NBA but he’s also a gold medalist too.

Edwards enjoyed his time in Paris and he especially enjoyed playing with Durant.

They had many moments on the court together and a smile was visible on Edwards’ face often.

Just a few months ago, the Timberwolves star received some headlines when he faced off against Durant in a big postseason game.

During that match, Edwards was seen talking trash to Durant.

But Durant wasn’t offended by that and said that he greatly respects Edwards and the player he has become.

Edwards has now played against and with Durant and the friendship he has with him is surely one of the highlights of his career.
