The New York Giants were dealt terrible news today.

One of their most promising young offensive players will be out for a while at the very least.

As reported by Pat Leonard on Twitter, rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered an apparent leg injury earlier in practice.

The first-year pro had to be carted off the field with his leg in an air cast.

He endured the injury during a kickoff drill.

Tracy reportedly muffed the kickoff and his leg buckled when he bent over to pick up the football.

The Giants took him in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Purdue.

In his final season with the Boilermakers, he logged 716 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 11 appearances, also excelling on special teams as a kickoff returner.

He also used to play wide receiver earlier in his collegiate career when he played at Iowa.

As of now, the Giants haven’t shared any updates regarding the severity or extent of this injury.

Hopefully, this won’t be as serious as it originally seemed and he’ll be able to return before the start of the season.
