The Minnesota Vikings haven’t had much luck over the past two years when it comes to injuries, with the team’s season getting derailed with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins going down for the year with a torn Achilles and superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson dealing with multiple injuries.

Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, the Vikings are dealing with some significant injury issues, with the team seeing rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy go down with a knee that required season-ending surgery.

As if that wasn’t bad enough news for the new-look Vikings, Minnesota got more bad news regarding one of their best offensive weapons, with wide receiver Jordan Addison having to be carted off the practice field with an apparent leg injury, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Although Addison isn’t the same caliber of receiver that Jefferson is, who is arguably the best receiver in the NFL right now, he is still an essential piece to the puzzle on offense and will be sorely missed if the leg injury turns out to be significant.

With the update being pretty vague, there’s no telling how serious this injury is and if he’ll have to miss time, as the start of the 2024 NFL season is right around the corner for the Vikings.

Minnesota will go on the road to start their season, as they are scheduled to take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in September, which will be an interesting matchup between two teams that have undergone some changes during the offseason.
