Analyst Says 1 NFL Team Has Underachieved

The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the best regular-season teams in the NFL each of the last three seasons.

They have gone 12-5 under the leadership of head coach Mike McCarthy in each of those years and have won multiple division titles too.

However, since they won the Super Bowl in 1995, they have just five postseason wins.

Taking all of that into consideration, ESPN reporter Kimberly A. Martin believes Dallas is an underachieving team.

“When I think about the Cowboys, all I see is underachievement,” Martin recently said on Get Up.

This team is one of the biggest brands in all of sports because of the marketing job of Jerry Jones.

When he took over as the team’s owner back in 1989, the team was worth millions of dollars.

As things stand today, the franchise is now worth billions.

However, he has not been able to find much postseason success since the dynasty teams of the 1990s.

The Cowboys haven’t even made an NFC Championship Game appearance since their last Super Bowl run.

Even though they have had some quality quarterbacks in Romo and Prescott, this team just hasn’t been able to climb over that hump and prove themselves as true Super Bowl contenders.

Entering 2024, Jerry Jones is in multiple contract disputes with a couple of his best players, such as All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

He is going to have to spend if he wants his team to sniff playoff contention in the future.
