There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors made changes during the offseason, but were they enough?
Some fans are concerned that the Warriors will remain out of playoff contention, especially now that they’ve lost Klay Thompson.
But according to a new report from Anthony Slater, per NBACentral, the Warriors organization believes they have improved the team.
“The Warriors believe they improved this summer, team sources emphasized, basing that partially on internal number models that gave a positive-value thumbs-up to the additions of Melton, Anderson and Hield. A few analytics-driven employees from around the league agree,” Slate wrote. “One rival’s metric model had Golden State fourth in the conference.”

Golden State acquired Kyle Anderson, Buddy Hield and De’Anthony Melton this summer, which could definitely improve the roster.
But will those three get the Warriors back into postseason glory?
That remains to be seen.
They are three talented stars, but the Warriors have a lot of problems, and the trio of Anderson, Hield and Melton might not solve them all.
It is startling to hear that the Warriors’ front office envisions reaching fourth place in the Western Conference, especially when there is so much tough competition.
That means they will be nearly as good as assumed favorites like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets.
Considering the Warriors couldn’t even reach the playoffs last season, this would be a massive improvement.
The Warriors should never be fully counted out and they have overperformed and impressed before.
But this season will be very challenging for the franchise, even with the new help they added.
