Most reports coming out of the Kansas City Chiefs training camp point out that the team is leaning early and often on the running game.

Experts and analysts believe we could be in for an Isaiah Pacheco breakout season, but there’s a chance they could also bring the fullback position back to Andy Reid’s offense.

The Chiefs went without a fullback for the entirety of last season, but it seems like Carson Steele has made a strong impression there.

Moreover, it hasn’t been just his raw power and work ethic as the things that stand out for the UCLA product.

As shown by Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated on X, Steele also owns a pet alligator.

Steele is looking to make the 53-man roster, and he has until Aug. 27 to prove, like an alligator in a swamp, he belongs there.

The undrafted free agent scored his first career touchdown in the preseason opener, and Reid has looked quite satisfied with what he’s seen from him thus far.

Steele logged 29 yards on four carries in the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, including a 20-yard run in the second quarter before taking it home with a 1-yard score on fourth-and-1.

The Chiefs are looking to make history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.

A man with enough personality and character to own a pet alligator should be able to help them win battles in the trenches.
