Anytime Deion Sanders has an opinion about the Dallas Cowboys, it is going to make headlines.
Sanders, the current head coach at Colorado, recently appeared on ESPN Radio’s “Freddie and Harry” show to chat about his relationship with Jones.
“I love him. … I think he’s one of the greatest owners that has ever lived,” Sanders said.
Freddie asked @DeionSanders about the thoughts on the Cowboys and his relationship with Jerry Jones.

During Sanders’ legendary NFL career, he spent five seasons with the Cowboys (1995-99).
The Pro Football Hall of Famer helped the team win its latest Super Bowl title in the 1995 season before finishing his Dallas career with four consecutive Pro Bowls.
With all of the success that Sanders and the Cowboys had under the stewardship of Jones, it is hard to argue with his opinion.
Sanders was asked about Jones because the owner is currently in the midst of contract disputes with multiple star players, including wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, quarterback Dak Prescott and pass rusher Micha Parsons.
This season, the Cowboys were expected to go all-in after failing to make a deep postseason run last year despite going 12-5 in the regular season, yet they haven’t made many significant moves other than bringing back former Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott.
In fact, they have lost many key pieces since the end of last season, including Pro Bowl linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, Pro Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore, Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith and Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard.
Time will tell to see if Jones’ team can win the NFC East this season and possibly make a surprise run in the playoffs.
