While a good number of people are still picking the Buffalo Bills to win the AFC East, they have a definite roster hole at wide receiver.
They traded four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs this offseason and also lost WR2 Gabriel Davis in free agency and now will be counting on some young, unproven players at that position to develop into consistent producers.
Chase Claypool is one wideout the Bills signed earlier this offseason, but they placed him on the injured list because of a toe ailment.
Now, the two parties have agreed to an injury settlement, which will allow Claypool to sign with another team, per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.
The Bills and wide receiver Chase Claypool have agreed to an injury settlement, per today’s NFL transaction report. This removes him from injured reserve and means he will have the ability to sign with a team.

Not too long ago, Claypool was a promising prospect who caught 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But two years later, in the 2022 season, his production took a nosedive and the Steelers traded him to the Chicago Bears. He hasn’t been the same player since.
In 2023, he was only able to muster eight catches for 77 yards and one touchdown for the Bears and Miami Dolphins.
Buffalo has been a consistent Super Bowl contender ever since quarterback Josh Allen emerged as an elite player, but the Bills have made just one trip to the AFC Championship Game during that time.
In particular, they are hoping Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman will pick up the slack for the loss of Diggs and Davis.
