It has been a rough couple of years for the Arizona Cardinals, with the team going through some drastic changes with players retiring and superstar quarterback Kyler Murray dealing with a few costly injuries, which resulted in the offense struggling.

Fortunately for Arizona, the team might be headed in the right direction, as Murray is finally healthy and motivated for the upcoming regular season while head coach Jonathan Gannon appears to be the right person for the job.

The Cardinals also were able to bring in what could be a generational talent at the wide receiver position, giving Murray a solid target for the foreseeable future.

Arizona selected wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., son of Indianapolis Colts legend Marvin Harrison, with the No. 4 overall pick in a talent-heavy 2024 NFL Draft that also featured Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze among other star pass-catchers.

Preparing for the 2024 NFL season, Cardinals All-Pro safety Budda Baker has seen what Harrison can do on the field and has been impressed thus far.

“He looks like a pro’s pro,” Baker said on “The Jim Rome Show.” “He looks like he’s been doing this for many years.”

With the Cardinals losing veteran wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent this offseason, Harrison will likely be featured in the passing game immediately and might be headed for a big rookie campaign.

If Murray and Harrison can build some chemistry early in the season, the Cardinals might emerge as a dark-horse playoff team in the NFC.
