One of the most intriguing questions surrounding every NFL season is which rookie players can put themselves in the running for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who was drafted by the team with the No. 3 overall pick in April, is the quarterback of the future up in Foxborough.
After his latest preseason performance last night against the Philadelphia Eagles in New England’s second preseason game, his latest odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year have been revealed.
According to ESPN BET, Maye is now at +2500 to win the award after going 6/11 for 47 pass yards and running in his first NFL touchdown.

It remains to be seen whether or not Maye will be the starter going into Week 1.
However, veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is also in the race for the starting quarterback job in New England, has gone just 3/10 this preseason for 30 pass yards and an interception.
As far as statistics go, it feels like Maye might have the inside track to the starting gig, which could make his odds go even higher.
No one is expecting much from this Patriots team his season.
After the parting of ways with former legendary head coach Bill Belichick and moving on from veterans such as JuJu Smith-Schuster and Matthew Judon, New England is one of the youngest and most inexperienced teams in the entire league.
That could play into the favor of Maye on offense if he comes to play and plays well each and every week.
