The Cincinnati Bengals are hoping that this is the season they will finally get back to the Super Bowl and then win their first Vince Lombardi Trophy.

They got there in the 2021 season, only to narrowly lose to the Los Angeles Rams, and last year was a lost season because of the calf and wrist injuries that ultimately did in quarterback Joe Burrow.

This season, for their Week 1 opener against the New England Patriots, the Bengals will debut a set of new uniforms that will feature a solid orange color scheme, including orange pants for the first time, via Ari Meirov.

In the meantime, Cincinnati is dealing with a big issue that could threaten to derail their championship hopes: the contract situations of wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

It will be very expensive for Cincinnati to re-sign both of them, as they are legitimate stars and huge parts of their offensive attack.

Chase has made the Pro Bowl in each of his three NFL seasons and put up 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, while Higgins had 656 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games.

Higgins previously eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in both 2021 and 2022.

The Bengals will face some stiff competition from the rest of the AFC North, especially from the new and apparently improved Pittsburgh Steelers and a Baltimore Ravens squad that had the league’s best record last year and added star running back Derrick Henry.

But a healthy Bengals squad should be up for the challenge, especially with a QB such as Burrow who always seems cool under pressure.
