Former NFL quarterback and 7-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has earned the right to throw shade at just about anybody he pleases, and now that he has a lot more free time and a cushy new announcing job with FOX this upcoming season, we’re sure to hear a lot more from him.

One current quarterback recently felt Brady’s wrath, as the future Hall-of-Famer took the opportunity to throw a little shade at one of the league’s most-criticized QBs over his interceptions.

Insider Ben Fawkes shared a clip from Brady’s on-stage discussion with Stephen A. Smith at Fanatics Fest NYC, and when adding insight into how he’ll approach his upcoming broadcasting career, Brady jokingly provided an example when he said “Let’s say Daniel Jones throws an interception…I didn’t mean to say it like that, I wasn’t even being critical of Daniel Jones…maybe I was, a little bit.”

The comment was made in jest and the crowd laughed and jeered appropriately, but Brady knew what he was doing given the fact that he was on-stage in New York.

Jones is heading into a pivotal year as the quarterback for the New York Giants as the team lost star running back Saquon Barkley to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.

New York will have to rely more on Jones to move the ball through the air after he threw just two touchdowns and ate 30 sacks last season before tearing his ACL.

Surely, Brady is still a little salty about the Giants taking two Super Bowls away from him, so fans have to let him have this one.
