LeBron James has accomplished everything there is to possibly accomplish on a basketball court, as he is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has four NBA championships, four MVP awards, 20 All-Star selections, an in-season tournament championship, and three Olympic gold medals.

Despite all of that, his biggest accomplishment will always be his status as one of sports’ most consistent and admirable husbands and fathers, as he has been with his wife, Savannah, since high school and married her in 2013, but Savannah recently shared a funny glimpse into their relationship and said what term of endearment she hated being called.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, Savannah revealed that she cringes at the word “wifey” and told LeBron to stop calling her that after he frequently introduced her as his wifey before they were married, noting “I had to politely tell my husband back in the day, he used to introduce me…I had to pull him aside like ‘Excuse me, Sir, don’t introduce me as that, please. I am not your wife and I deserve that title when the time is right.’”

James added that allowing James to call her that prior to being married would make it seem okay to never actually marry her.

It’s great to hear relationship and marriage advice from a happy couple that has been together for decades, as oftentimes this is a space where the wrong people give lots of loud, wrong advice that stems from pain instead of happiness and experience.

LeBron could win 20 rings in the NBA, but the one that goes on the left ring finger will always be most important.
