Matthew Judon’s NFL career has taken him to a new place.

Following stints with the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots, the pass-rusher is now heading to Georgia to play for the Atlanta Falcons.

With that in mind, he’s going to get this new chapter started with a clean slate.

According to Falcons beat writer Marc Raimondi, he’s going to switch from No. 9 to No. 15 with his new team.

The Patriots traded Judon for a 2025 third-round pick in a deal that’s been talked about exhaustively since it happened.

Judon is going to make a base salary of $6.5 million this season.

He wanted to get a better contract and even showed up to training camp, but both parties were unable to sort things out.

The expectation is that the Falcons will sit with him and his camp will try and get a new deal done; otherwise, it wouldn’t have made sense to give up such a valuable asset to get him.

But if that’s not the case, he’ll pretty much have to play on a contract year.

That should be more than enough motivation to be at his best and prove why he’s one of the prime headhunters in the game, especially after missing most of last season with a biceps injury.

The Falcons aren’t messing around and want to make a significant splash in the NFC South Division, and this move is a big step in the right direction.
