The Denver Broncos are a storied NFL franchise that values tradition and takes care its current and former players and those who have come through the organization well.
Although the Broncos are known for star players and coaches like John Elway, Peyton Manning, Mike Shanahan, Champ Bailey, and Shannon Sharpe, the storied franchise also has some legends that might not be household names for those who don’t follow the team.
Earlier this year, the Broncos lost an essential part of their organization’s history with former broadcaster Larry Zimmer, passing away, who was a Colorado sports legend and called games for the franchise for 26 years.
According to 9 News reporter Mike Klis, the Broncos franchise recently honored Zimmer in the press box in a classy gesture with a picture and flowers in his memory.

Although it is sad news that Zimmer passed away at 88 earlier this year, he would surely be happy about the direction of the franchise after some rough years in the post-Manning era in Denver.
The Broncos brought in one-time Super Bowl head coach Sean Payton last year and may have drafted the future face of the franchise in rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who is currently hoping to secure the starting job before Week 1 when Denver goes on the road to face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on September 8.
Only time will tell if the Broncos can turn things around after failing to make some noise over the past few years, but things seem to be trending in the right direction.
